Since I am going to try to make a living with writing from now on and I have not had a job in a little over a year, I have had to schedule my day and it takes a lot of discipline to adhere to it. I get up and take Kato (my surly Catahoula Leopard Dog) for a walk. Workout and shower then write. I try to write 10 pages a day even if it is crap. If I get writer's block I write a scenario killing one of my character that will never make it into my book.

Oh darn. Does anyone have any ideas how I can petition to get my dues back?
Nothing says "idiot inside" better than an Obama/Biden bumper sticker.

I understand and agree with this... I feel the same way.. There are enough laws and threats of lawsuits these days for employers to treat people like they did during the Industrial Revolution, etc., and unions are no longer needed.. Too many good people are held back and too many terrible workers are elevated by the unions, as everyone of a certain job classification makes the same amount.. I don't see how anyone could think this makes sense..

What happens if we cross their picketlines?

[In their fantasies] Either they'll win us over to their side with brilliantly- reasoned talking points, or beat the stuffing out of us with a breathtaking display of kung fu.
[In real life] They might make a few threats, but all we'd need to do is make an angry look and growl, and they'll run home screaming and in desperate need of a fresh change of underwear.

They will of course wear masks - unwilling to take responsibility for thier choices.
