In all fairness his own arguments for enlisting revolved around his dislike of his current job, he likes to move a lot and thinks he'd look good in a uniform. There's not much there to warrant a lot of praise. The fact he is enlisting is a big plus, but his rationale does nothing for him.
*shrugs* As long as he's not doing it to make some political statement by not showing up for deployment or something like that, I don't give a damn what his rationale is. I'm proud that he wants to serve, even if it's more a last resort for him.
