They're not. Also they are funding so many organizations who aim to attack, discredit, and dismantel democrats in office. Then whey is Big Insurance, Big Pharma doing every thing they can to get Dems elected.
Because the dems are the majority party right now. The ruling class aren't republicans or democrats, it goes the other way around. The parties serve the ruling class, the ruling class doesn't support parties. The Mass. election, they backed Martha Coakley big time. Not Scott Brown who was against the bill. They continue to dump loads of cash into the elections of Dems every where. Why are they not giving to the GOP as much? I thought we were suppose to be in their back pocket?
For example, http://www.opensecrets.org/industries/indus.php?ind=h04
that shows contributions made by pharmacutical companies sdince 1990.
Notice the trends up until the democrats took over, and the new trends.
I've no doubt that a lot of influence is being pushed at the democrats right now, and I totally reject them for bending to it.
Take a second look at your stats you provided, especially the last two election cycles. The Dims have been raking it in from Big Pharma. Far more then the GOP. If the GOP was in line with big Pharma, then they should be pumping cash into the GOP at record pace, but they are not. Why? because they want Obamacare to pass because the Dems have aliened with them.
Cspan will prove who was in their back pocket, remember Zero saying that? Funny, when it came time to show it, the Dims didn't want the camera any where around. Also funny that Big Insurance and Big Pharma has met with the pResident far more then any other lobbyist.
this current senate health bill sounds like it was written by Big Pharma. it primarly helps their industry.
Pfizer, Merck, Eli Lilly, Novartis and sundry of other drug companies that have been among the biggest of ObamaCare's corporate sponsors. They are buying their bill from the dems and expect a return from their investment. And we as Americans should be excited for all of this and support the One and his campaign to force this all on us. The left doesn't get it, never has, and likely never will. The right may support business, but in the form or the free market business format. Meaning that let competition dictate the terms.
The battle going on right now isn't over Big Business vs the People anymore, that's already over. Now it's a purely empty meaningless political battle between the crap Democrats and the crap Republicans over who "looks better".
