#1 There was no word on why the man had a meat thermometer in a movie theater.03-10-2010, 12:51 PM
"A woman talking on a cell phone during a movie didn't take to kindly to being 'shushed' by another moviegoer. Or at least her boyfriend didn't.
In a drama that turned more lively than the one on screen, the boyfriend allegedly attacked and stabbed the 'shusher' in the neck. With a meat thermometer."

It could be fun to speculate about why he brought a meat thermometer to a theater. Maybe he wanted to ensure that the hot dog he bought from the snack shop was at the right temperature.

This was my very first thought on reading the story. Why? Why carry a meat thermometer?

It is a real Dumbass who goes anywhere unarmed. I have never been in a movie theater that you could not bring a knife into and I always have either my Smith and Wesson Special Ops or my big Spyderco Military. If I shush someone in a theater or anywhere else and all they have is a meat thermometer, they are in big troouble.

Hence the reason I rarely go to movies anymore and when I do, I pick my spots. An asshole thought it was perfectly OK to annoy an entire theater full of patrons by talking on the phone yet the annoyed patron is the one attacked. Gee, can't imagine why I'm such a misanthrope. The Obama Administration: Deny. Deflect. Blame.
