Get to know your GOP Media's Black Face Cable Corporate Mouthpieces
Advertisements [?]Recognize them for what they are; highly paid Media Whores specifically made more prominent due to the racial dynamics in this contest.
Often seen on MSNBC - writes for the WAPO - Has changed the frames on his eyeglasses, as he was tired of being known as Black Pointdexter.
often seen on CNN lately - Tara Wall, the deputy editorial page editor of The Washington Times and a total fearless Biotch recently brought on the scene specifically for these elections.
MSNBC paid commentator Joe Watkins - Talks out of the side of his mouth in more ways than one!
Juan Williams for Fox News - Long time tool that we realize could always be worse.
Harold Ford as seen on MSNBC - Pretends to defend Obama, but this DLC leader appears to hold nothing more than complete contempt for our nominee. His slams are usually done under radar.
Other Category- Media Tools who are simply attempting to make a living and will say whatever they have been handed-As far as they can see it, they simply don't know what they do:
Don Lemon is young, good looking and ambitious, and will do whatever it takes. As a newsreader, he is better than some, but he will still toe the line to keep his job.
Soledad O'Brien, who finally admitted that she was bi-racial recently(a previously well kept secret), after being handed the coup of letting us know what goes on in the Black community per CNN-
Suzanne Malveaux, recently demoted and basically replaced with Soledad O'brien. She is now only seen as an afterthought. She may have said something someone didn't like, or maybe not. The point is that she is currently a rarity on CNN these days.
Tamron Hall, relatively new to MSNBC and replaces the curly head who was given her own show before she was made to disappear(I forgot her name, please refresh my memory)Racist???KAZ (1000+ posts) Sun Aug-03-08 05:28 PM

9. It helps the cable producers keep their hands clean.
Some might call these the "house negroes". They will do the job, so the overseers don't have to.
(PS. As a Black person, I stand by this thread, LOL! )

18. What an embarrassing thread for DU.
Seriously,"house negros"? Do you suppose maybe black people can span the political spectrum like white people do? How would you feel if freepers referred to Donna Brazille as the "house negro"?Can I call any liberal black person who I don't agree with a "house ******" because they say something that is "particularily hurtful" to me? Or if I can't because I'm not black can a conservative who also happens to be black say it?FrenchieCat (1000+ posts) Sun Aug-03-08 05:54 PM

22. I'm Black and this is how I see it.

and Black people spanning the political spectrum is not the point......
Corporate media mouthpieces is the issue.
When they actively shill against Barack Obama it is particularily hurtful to me, because they wouldn't be seen on television if it wasn't for those fighting racial justice.
In otherwords, I find them as culpable as their counterparts in the world of Media whores, and they will not escape my wrath simply because they are Black as I am an equal opportunity critic of the media. Don't think I haven't started threads like this before on the media, even if in those, race was not the common denominator, but sole propagandizing was....because I have.
I see...that justifies being a racist.they will not escape my wrath simply because they are Black
"GOP tools" is simply a biased opinion. Perhaps we see more people on TV who are conservative and Black because Conservatives give them a chance. They aren't racist.Cali_Democrat (1000+ posts) Sun Aug-03-08 06:29 PM

43. 80-90% of Blacks in America are Democrats
Yet most of the black pundits we see on television are GOP tools. Why is that?
Black people span the political spectrum, but the majority of the ones on TV shill for the GOP and slam Obama. That certainly isn't representative of the AA community in the US.
The MSM does it because they feel that a black person slamming Obama will be more effective than a white person. That's why we see so many black GOP shills on TV.
Considering that 80-90% of Blacks are liberal it would seem to indicate that liberals, including liberal media ARE RACIST. Give lip service but "we wouldn't want those Blacks to be pundits FOR our party". Just like they give lip service but then rarely are any positions occupied by blacks in Democrat administrations.
Oh the irony. Isn't this what this thread is all about. Hating others because they are conservative and Black....you know....skin color.janx (1000+ posts) Sun Aug-03-08 06:43 PM

47. And that is racist. That is people looking at other people
based on skin color. There's no way around it. I'm trying to find a way around it, since I don't want to believe that such ignorance could exist in 2008, but there's just no getting around it.
Typical....liberals making race a big part of a campaign and then blaming conservatives for it.janx (1000+ posts) Sun Aug-03-08 05:50 PM

20. It doesn't appear that Frenchie thinks it's a coincidence,
and she's usually on the mark. I think it's disgusting in that it puts too much emphasis on race; it's practically racist in itself. By this I mean that Obama should be evaluated for his qualifications, character, and judgment as a person, not as a half African American.
But then, I'm an optimist who always tends to think that people should learn a little faster than they seem capable of learning.
LOL So now having pundits who are conservative and Black is racist.....because it somehow puts emphasis on race. LOL

50. So every black person on TV is a corporate whore?
I understand being annoyed by the black commentators that say things that seem to go against the interest of the black community, but why go on a diatribe about the anchors? This kind of inflammatory post is truly embarassing for DU and doesn't contribute to any constructive political discourse.
