It doesn't contain the word "so" and it's not about Republicans and no one got converted. All the same, by BS detector went off. Any "Hill Person" has more than enough reasons to give for leaving the Obama party.

Today I had my first meeting with the a Hill person.

A saleswoman noticed my Obama button and opened up with, 'I am a Democrat and have always voted Dem but I will not vote for Obama. I don't know what to do. I am not sure that this country can take another four years of Republican rule.' I shook her hand and asked her if she had been a Hillary supporter and she nodded yes. I told her that I had been a Kucinich supporter and I understood how she felt. I noted that a lot of us have had to make a move and that Obama seemed like a good choice to me. When I asked her why she felt the way she did she had no answer. I tried my best to bridge the gap today but honestly, I am exhausted by it all.

Sales people don't engage in political discussions unless they personally know the customer or work at 7/11 (or this what I've gathered from many bouncy tales).

I have seen numerous partisan teeshirts, buttons, bumper stickers, and what not and I have never been tempted in the least to open up a political discussion with an utter stranger.

Me neither. That's why I figured this was utter BS. I would think that the corporation one worked for would discourage political debate with customers anyway. :)
