Swiss Casino Robbed by Armed Gang

Masked men have stormed a packed casino near the Swiss border city of Basel, making off with hundreds of thousands of francs (dollars), prosecutors say.

About 10 raiders pulled up at the Grand Casino in two cars just after 0400 (0200 GMT) and smashed their way in, brandishing machine-guns and pistols.

The French-speaking gang ordered the 600 guests and employees to the floor while they emptied registers.

The Grand Casino describes itself as the "Swiss Las Vegas" on its website.

Reports say they could not get into the strong room despite firing on the door.

Nobody was seriously injured in the robbery....

Baton Rouge has a Catholic H.S. stag party every year. Long time ago, the event attracted local big time gamblers. 4 masked men with shotguns ordered everyone to take their pants off and the crooks collected every-one's pants. The robbery did not make the news cause many of the top politicians and community leaders were there. I found out about from members at the Country Club I worked for. As far as I know, these crooks were never caught. What was most embarrassing was they had to call their wives to bring them a pair of pants and a set of car keys.
