MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- Police in Muskogee said there has been a shooting incident at the Arrowhead Mall.

Reports from the scene said at least five victims were taken to hospitals. A sixth person refused treatment at the scene.

Witnesses also said there may have been as many as three shooters.

Police have ordered people out of the mall and locked down the facility.

We are hearing now there is one dead. not much out on the story so far. this is about 16 miles down the road from me.

I'm kind of in the middle between Tulsa, Okmulgee and Muskogee. When they reported it the first time I didn't hear them say Muskogee and I didn't pay much attention. The only thing that ever happens in Muskogee is weather!

The announcement basically told people "to run for their lives".....one of these days I would LOVE to hear over the loudspeaker "we have a nut with a gun shooting people, will all those with concealed carry please find and kill this asshole?"

If I was the family of one of the dead, I'd sue the ass of the mall management for making them defenseless targets.

Concealed carry is very common around here. I am genuinely surprised this happened!

This is more evidence supporting open carry, not concealed. Let a large majority of Americans walk around strapped and these cowards wouldn't be so brazen.

I live in a blue state, and other than at government facilities, there aren't a lot of those kinds of signs posted around. It wouldn't shock me if my fellow shoppers at the local malls were armed.
