    Download the bill that went to the Senate.

    You'll find little tidbits like needing a license to sell your home certifying that it conforms to government energy standards.

    I've downloaded the PDF, and at page 376, you'll find "SEC. 204. BUILDING ENERGY PERFORMANCE LABELING PROGRAM." aka a license

    FYI, the "SEC. 205. TREE PLANTING PROGRAMS." is at page 392...DUH!

    Hey Marv, The labeling only applies to new construction not existing structures.

    I couldn't read through all that gobley gook! Where does it assure that? I thought the purpose was to garner money from us poor schmucks with existing houses that don't conform!

    It says "This section"! Does that mean the first 392 pages? This doesnt seem too good, I've only glanced over it and it is the gov mandating again! And it seems they reserve the right to change what they want when they want!

    If thats true , we will see. But it still seems like that was what they wanted and had to relent! Those f-ers could make a fortune making us all comply before selling! Sorry, I don't put this past them. Like I said they reserve the right to change anything they want when it becomes law!
