Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana) just threw Pelosi under the Bus on H&C

Landrieu said she does not know what Pelosi is going to do, but it is a problem for her (Pelosi) Corker, Hannity, Landrieu say drill here drill now."Looks like Mary won’t be getting a copy of Nancy’s book for Christmas."

    Comments:
I think she’s up for re-election this year. Remember in 2002 she said she would not take part in fillibustering judges or maybe it was a certain hispanic nominee. But as soon as she was re-elected she went back to being a fillibustering leftist. And who can forget her hideous behavior after Katrina.

Landrieu showing some self-preservation? Who’da thunkit? I hope more Dems see the light. Maybe they don’t care - rich bastids - about the price of gas, but their constituents sure do.

No, she is from an oil producing state, I do not think she has ever voted against more drilling. Certainly she knows this is a big issue in LA and also wants to be re-elected, but I think she is serious about it, You are correct on the rest though, she is still a pig, but glad she spoke out against Pelosi on Fox News:)

I know we all know that this has to be done. I agree we must put pressure on Pelosi and the Democrats. I am so very pleased with our Republican representatives at last.
However...Let us then remember, if the Dems cave in and the price of oil goes down they will claim the Democrats solved the problem. Get prepared to attack that claim! Be prepared for all the hoopla they will arrouse and have the media reporting that it was the Republican Congress and Bush that led us to this problem, and the Democrats that got us out. They will say that.

We must not let them get away with it. We must keep every article, every comment, every "Nay," record and continually lambaste the media with facts about how the Dems would not budge until forced by the Republicans and the public.
We must NEVER STOP reminding them that they did not solve this...our Republican Congressmen who would not leave Washington are responsable for the solutions that might be reached. Never let them get away with proclaiming a victory. Never!

Members of the House of Representatives are elected to a 2 year term. Every 2 years they are up for re-election.

Wouldn’t it be great if they take a hit for their support of environmentalism over American interests.
Oh, I believe that have. What's fantastic about this is that the libs genuinely did not see any of this coming. All the evidence you need is Pelosi's interview with Snuffalupagous on Sunday and Obama's constant shifting of positions on the issue. He's literally taken almost every side one can take--it's hilarious! With "green" being so "in," they thought they could ride the wave for the next decade and do as they pleased. Unfortunately for them, the backlash against all the crap science has been devastating, and it'll continue to get worse.

    Plus, Mary Landrieu is pro-abortion.

Landrieu's up for re-election this Fall, and she's running scared because she cast the deciding vote on not extracting oil shale. Hers is seen as the most vulnerable Dem seat.
Kennedy attacks Landrieu on shale vote

WASHINGTON -- Republican Senate candidate John Kennedy is trying to punch holes in Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's image as a lawmaker willing to buck her party in support of increased oil production.
The Kennedy campaign is citing Landrieu's deciding committee vote in May against a Republican proposal to end a moratorium on oil shale production -- extracting oil from fine-grained sedimentary rock through heat or a chemical process...http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2056576/posts

Just heard on Cavuto that there is a memo out there giving the Dems permission to lie and say they support drilling - and to blame Nancy for holding up legistlation.

She is in a safe district and this will give them cover and allow them to fool the more ignorant voters in their districts.

Although Sen. Landrieu is an ass kissing politician, her Repub. opponent, John Kennedy, is just as bad. He was the Secretary of the Dept. of Revenue, and was a lousy one at that in my opinion. Her vote against oil shale production may come back to bite her in the ass. I don't know who else is running against her but it looks like a very weak field, and have not heard much campaigning from any of them.
