I can't find it right now on YouTube, but the most stunning "moment" on film I can think of - and it's literally just a moment - is when Michael Corleone realizes that Fredo has been lying to him. There is just a tiny flicker in his eyes, but it's an amazing moment."Today, [the American voter] chooses his rulers as he buys bootleg whiskey, never knowing precisely what he is getting, only certain that it is not what it pretends to be." - H.L. Mencken

In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.
In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

These two scenes from the 4th season finale of Lost are representative of the suspense and tension of that episode with everything happening at once. It was riveting television and during the two hour episode I found myself holding my breath at times.
