Can some of you tech whiz's explain to me why my computer tends to lag for a few seconds every 10 seconds or so? For example, I'll be scrolling a page and it will stop for a few seconds then start again. Or when watching a video it pauses every few seconds. How can I cure this?

You have a process that is using all your CPU's resources. Hit control alt delete at the same time on XP to view your task manager, select processes and watch it while your using your computer to see what the process hog is.

Spyware & malware. What do you use to protect your computer from such? Also do you have a registry cleaner program?
When the delegates emerged from the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got?” Franklin replied, “A republic, madam, if you can keep it.”

Try this one: Spybot S&D. It is free and arguably the best spyware remover around. It finds stuff the others won't.
