A late-spring storm might bring more than a foot of snow to parts of the Front Range on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
After a warm, dry Mother's Day, forecasters are looking at a Pacific storm system that will bring rain and snow to the Front Range and northern mountains.
A couple of thundershowers will move in about midday today with some small hail possible, but the main event will be Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday, said 9News meteorologist Marty Coniglio.
A winter storm watch is in effect Tuesday night and Wednesday for all areas of the Front Range above 6,000 feet.
In the mountains and foothills, 1 to 2 feet of snow is possible, with 8 to 18 inches in Douglas County to Monument Hill. 9News

It's goona be OK Gingersnap. We're a bit behind in snowpack anyway and if you want water through the summer we need it.
I know you're not one of those people who think that water comes from the tap, but so many in Greater Denver do.At least once every human should have to run for his life, to teach him that milk does not come from supermarkets, that safety does not come from policemen, that news is not something that happens to other people. ~ Robert Heinlein
You Say The Battle Is Over
“Progress is Providence without God. That is, it is a theory that everything has always
perpetually gone right by accident. It is a sort of atheistic optimism, based on an
everlasting coincidence far more miraculous than a miracle.”
G. K. Chesterton
