And I'm in a wheelchair. But I wouldn't stand anyway, and I'd be tickled pink if anybody gave me any shit about it.

At the American Legion building where part of my family frequently holds gatherings, there is a picture on the bulletin board. It shows a parade, with the US flag coming down the street, and the only person in the shot standing is an old man holding himself up in his wheelchair.

It is a matter of respect and decorum, two concepts that make libs brains melt.
