Democrat culture of corruption: [Part (who knows..?)

DETROIT, Michigan (CNN) -- Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was jailed Thursday after a judge found he had violated terms of his bond by taking an unauthorized trip to Canada last month. Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick apologized, but a federal judge ordered him jailed for violating terms of his bond.

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick apologized, but a federal judge ordered him jailed for violating terms of his bond. Kilpatrick, who is facing felony charges of perjury, obstruction of justice and misconduct of office, had been free on $75,000 bond.

Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans told reporters the mayor will be treated like any other high-profile inmate at the jail. Measures will be taken to ensure his security as well as that of other inmates at the facility, the sheriff added. Kilpatrick will be held in a restricted area where no one except deputies will be allowed to have close contact with him, the sheriff said.

And yet another Dem bites the dust.

    Astounding Things, Indeed!
The Mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick, was sent to jail today for violating travel restrictions that are a condition of his being free on bond as he awaits trial on eight counts of perjury and other felonies. The travel restrictions were tightened after Mayor Kilpatrick was accused of assaulting a sheriff's deputy who served a subpoena on him. Mayor Kilpatrick is a superdelegate to the Democratic National Convention.

In May 2007, Kilpatrick received this glowing endorsement from Barack Obama, who called him a "great mayor" who is doing an "outstanding job." My favorite part is where Obama says that Kilpatrick "is going to be doing astounding things for many years to come:"

Kwame's mother, Carolyn Kilpatrick, is Chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus. She faced a tough re-election race this year, mostly because of her outspoken support for her son, but Obama never endorsed her. She won the Democratic primary anyway, narrowly, on Tuesday.

Now Obama may need the Kilparticks' support in order to carry Michigan, which appears to be in play:

Repeatedly-it's not working, because the judge and the prosecutor are also black. So is every member of the city council except one. He'll play it again if the govenor, who is white, takes him out after her hearing set for 9-3.

Everyone just wants him gone, now. Barbara Rose Collins, who I considered to be one of the most corrupt politicians in Detroit prior to Kwame's election, stated to the news yesterday that she disliked Kwame and his whole family-and she goes to Kwame's mommy's church (The Shrine of The Black Madonna, one of the scariest allegedly christian organizations you can find, next to the Klan)! Kwame and his wife don't go to that church, however, they go to her church.

Brooks Patterson (Oakland County Executive, R), Robert Ficano (Wayne County Executive, D), the city council, Carmen Harlen (Channel 4 anchor), and numerous others are just calling for him to resign, before he plunges not just the city, but the whole region into even worse problems than we already have. The state attorney general (Mike Cox, R), just announced that he's filing assualt and obstruction of justice charges for Kwame's assualt of a Wayne County Sheriff's officer who was serving the mayor's BIL with a summons.

Kwame got a $50,000 cash bond and he has to wear a tether-that's today's ruling based on the violation that got him jailed yesterday.

Anyone notice that NONE of the coverage has mentioned he is a Democrat?

I seem to remember Stevens getting described as the longest sitting Republican at nearly every mention of that scandal.

Probably because Michigan has been a hopeless DIMoDUmp for many years. Expect the spreading of the Michigan cancer into the New Automobile Center of Manufacturing in the South as Michigan continues to rust and erode. The union looters will attempt to spread their losing ways to the south much like the Massholes did to the surrounding NE states.
