A Miami couple was arrested on 863 counts of child neglect, after authorities say they forced their teenage daughter to sleep, eat and use the bathroom outside the home.

Sherrine and Philipe Mathieu remained in jail Friday.

The 16-year-old daughter said for the past eight years the family had been ``sleeping, eating, urinating and defecating outside on the property where they own the home,'' the report said.

The house in the 6300 block of Northwest First Court had electricity and water and was livable, the arrest report said.

The father said they had only been living outside the home since 2007.

Philipe Mathieu told police they stayed outside the home because his wife ``refuses to allow them in the home due to her cleaning,'' the arrest report said.

Man, they are smart. I wish I would have thought of that with my three boys.

    Are you Fred McMurray?

At least she's over the screaming phase that they go through between 10-13. Nothing grates on my nerves in the locker room at the pool more than a party of tween girls, screaming in a tiled room. That's why the Palace of Auburn Hills has a soundproof "parents room" with a cash bar, for all of their kid-oriented rock concerts.
