#1 Former Dem Aide Stephanopoulos Lectures James O'Keefe: 'You're More of a Political Ac06-02-2010, 09:55 PM
Former Democratic operative turned journalist George Stephanopoulos lectured James O'Keefe on Tuesday, deriding, "And some of your critics say that you're more of a political activist than a journalist..." [Audio available here.]
The Good Morning America host, and former aide to Bill Clinton, quizzed the conservative investigative journalist and dismissed, "So, you're a conservative activist, not a journalist."
Stephanopoulos, who also worked for Michael Dukakis' 1988 presidential campaign, repeatedly chided O'Keefe over an aborted undercover investigation into Senator Mary Landrieu."What this country needs are more unemployed politicians."
"Liberals are the type of people who go on safari and wonder why they can't get out and pet the lions..."- warpig

I'm not a fan of George, other than of his awesome hair-greek men have the best hair, even when they get old and it goes white (not gray).
I wouldn't consider O'Keefe a journalist any more than I would consider Michael Moore to be a documentarian. They are both political activists using their cameras to make their ideological points, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Stephanopoulos calling O'Keefe a political activist rather than a journalist is like Steve Buscemi calling someone creepy-looking.
If only the state-run media had more journalists like O'Keefe.

That is one of the things his contract calls for -- to tell congress the condition of the country. This message, as I say, is to Congress. The rest of the people know the condition of the country, for they live in it, but Congress has no idea what is going on in America, so the president has to tell 'em." ~ Will Rogers
