    Are you serious???

    1 - the system is stacked so as to PROTECT incumbents. It takes a hell of a lot of work and a fair dose of luck to unseat an incumbent.

    2 - IT'S ONLY THE PRIMARIES! generally there is a strong enough core in the incumbents own party to make sure they stay in the race. It's when the other party and the independent's finally get a say that they get the boot.
    Stand up for what is right, even if you have to stand alone.

    The primaries pick who gets to run

    When they go to the people....that's when the asskicking starts.

    Remember whatisname went up against Lieberman in the primary and won...went to the real polls and was thrown out with the garbage.
