My cat urinated on my soft PSP case about 4 months ago. I tried everything I could have to get rid of the smell back then, couldn't, and just put it way in my garage. 4 months later I remembered I put it there and checked it out. THE SMELL IS STILL THERE!! I've been using a custom case I made out of an old sock (what? its better than spending money on a new one :p ), but I kinda want my original back now. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the odor?

Have you tried snorting Boric Acid?

Do that a few times and the smell will not be noticible anymore.

Okay... seriously, go to a vet clinic or a pet smart and buy an enzyme odor remover. A few applications with a soak in baking soda infused water in between will remove all trace.

Clean the case with Oxyclean very thoroughly. Let it dry. Go back over the thing inside and out with Odoban. This is a cheap enzyme product you can get at Wal-Mart. Do it several times over a week.

Your thing should be cat urine-free in about 10 days. :)

Get a ziplock bag large enough to hold the case. Put the case in it with plain old dry baking soda. Let is sit for a while. (How long can you live without the case?) An old cat of ours ended up peeing on a stud finder of mine (which was in a box with other stuff that he peed on). I did this with it and let it sit for several weeks. The stud finder no longer smells and still works.

If the cushions are removable, try soaking them for a while in a water-baking soda solution, wringing them out and air drying them. That worked for us. Don't know about handling non-removable parts.
