I'm admittedly a social conservative - prolly the one thing that pushed me to the right more than anything else - but as a social conservative the last thing I want is the government dictating how we conduct ourselves. It kills me when social conservatives want to adopt the tactics of the left and use government to dictate how people should conduct themselves in their personal lives. IMO - the best thing government can do is NOTHING when it comes to social issues.
