While I'm not a die-hard GOP voter (most of the republicans in my state are idiots anyhow...), I'm against damn near anything that means "more government".

I also don't tend to see eye-to-eye with most devout Christians, but would gladly stand up for their more rational ideals in politics. (The ones that have no "religious morals" attached to them)

Also, I have type 1 diabetes. Before accuses me of being "anti-military" or some such garbage, know that I had a teenaged/young-adult interest in joining the USMC, and not only that: I wanted to participate in one of the combat-related branches of The Marines. (I registered for the mailing list, trust me.)

But... having life-long, medicine-dependent, potentially deadly illness rules out military enlistment.

All the depressing shit aside- I like Viking Metal, gangster films/tv shows, I think Glenn Beck should take Gandolfini's "Satan" remark as a complement, and...

to the fact that ATHEISM is not at all at odds with CONSERVATIVE POLITICS.

I am truly a "Godless" person. I mean, even if there is a God, I don't care what he thinks about me or any of my acts on Earth.

(I'm not a "Dawkins' witness" type person either, just so everyone knows. Evolution makes sense to me, but I don't care if other people hang on to their faith or even if they are a young earth creationist. Being atheist doesn't mean you automatically wish everyone else was atheist. I've got plenty of Christians in my family, including an entire house hold of Catholics, and I don't care about making them atheist any time soon.)

But I'm also a conservative, and I *love* America and it's ideals. (I was born in this country, after all! Birmingham, Alabama, in fact... a little over 27 years ago.)

So... here's to the only example of "Atheist Conservatism" that I can think of... me. I keep the doors open in case there are other atheists on the right-wing. ;)
