A Palin/Christie would be great. We need a couple of pit bulls in there to root out waste and abuse, lower taxes, cut government spending, etc. I don't see anyone other than those two that have the PASSION to do those things. Without passion and determination to make drastic changes, we will wind up with a little patch here and a little patch there that will not amount to a hill of beans.

Although I'm a little 'iffy' about Christie on some of the social issues, I 'm pretty sure I could support a Palin/Christie ticket.

Oh, and BTW (correct me if I'm wrong), based on what I read on the Internet, this is Sarah Palin's philosophy on America's enemies: "We win, they lose!" :)

I originally posted this thread to make a point. You can't sacrifice your values just to vote for the Republican candidate.

Seven of you have chosen NOT to vote for Mike Huckabee, because he is too liberal on the fiscal issues, even if Obama is the DemocRAT opponent. But that's OK.

HOWEVER, the seven of you have NO RIGHT to criticize me for either not voting for, or voting against social liberals like Meg Whitman, Rick Lazio, or other Republican candidates who support legal abortion, gay civil unions, amnesty, etc. Just as all seven of you will not sacrifice your principles, I will NOT sacrifice my principles, as well.

I will NOT vote for ANY pro-abortion, socially liberal Republican, even if its my own mother!

I'm a bit surprised, because when I started this poll thread, I thought this poll would be lopsided in the opposite direction. Judging by the passion for the fiscal issues on this forum, and the lack of interest on the social issues, I thought that someone like Huckabee would have been a dead duck against anyone.

and this is EXACTLY what is wrong with being a single issue voter. By not being informed over all the issues, then you're too ignorant on the grand scheme to know why thats a bad idea.
