National League won the All Star game. The last time that happened, I hadn't met my wife yet, I was 2 years from moving to Arizona, and had recently got officially divorced.

As bad as the Phils played since mid May and only be 4 games back, I'd be watching over their shoulders if I were the Braves. Especially considering that the Phils have not been 100% healthy all year. We were able to win for a bit without Rollins but it caught up with us. You don't lose a former MVP and expect to win consistently. We've had major injuries:

Polanco
Rollins
Utley
Ruiz
Durbin
Happ
Lidge
Romero

And we're still in the hunt.

By that rationale, take away the Braves' horrible June ( I think we lost like 12 or 13 in a row) and we'd probably be about 7 games up. I still wouldn't be surprised to see the Philthies win the division, though. A month ago I'd been surprised if they didn't win it. I really thought the Braves' had a chance for the wild card going into the season, then thought they'd finish with a losing record. Now I think they're a legit contender.

I was just disappointed that Heyward wasn't in the HR Derby. THAT would have been fun to watch.

On May 18th we were 5 games up then we forgot how to score. Hopefully things are starting to turn around. Sweeping a 4 game series from the Reds was huge. We need to get some pitching and bench help if we are to have a chance. And you're right, Heyward is a beast.
