    How true!

They Have No Answers, They are the Problem...

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, The Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 300 million - are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress.
In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority.
They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing.
I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall.
No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.
The president can only propose a budget.
He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.
Who is the speaker of the House?
She is the leader of the majority party.
She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want.
If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility.
I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.
When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ.

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

I've said for a while now, I wish we could just Crtl + Alt + Delete the whole group and start over. These people are elected BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE! They are there to enforce the WILL OF THE PEOPLE. Tens of millions of us want them to do something about Illegal Immigration. They don't get to decide "Well, this is the will of the people, but my personal agenda says I can't alienate the Hispanic community, so I'm going to ignore the millions screaming for something to be done." These politicians think they are "above" the people, and they know whats right for us, and they get to make up our minds for us because we don't know any better.

Sad to say, but unfortunately nothing short of a new "Revolution" by the citizens of this country will change what these morons are doing right now.

Those assholes control three trillion dollars, which is a forth of our GNP.

They will all sell their vote to the highest bidder.

Most, if not all, of the elected representative think their job is to transfer as much of the Federal budget as possible to their home district or state, regardless of the consequences to the rest of the country.

Unless you are a high campaign donor you will never be able to talk to your elected representative.

Our Founding Fathers never saw it coming. They never knew that citizen representatives would turn into filthy professional politician scumbags and screw the American people in the process.

I have given up on our government. It is beyond repair. We need another revolution to restore the Republic and the Constitution.

I will probably never again vote in another election. I am getting tired of voting for so called conservatives that deliver on big government. I am getting tired of electing representative that will, at the end of the day, compromise on anything in order to take care of their special interest groups.

People get to talk to their Congressman or woman every day, either in their office or elsewhere. Sorry but this is not true.

Then your opinion will hold no weight..because the first question that will be asked is who you voted for...I have often wondered what would happen if the US had a 97 percent turnout as we do every time.

If this is as important as you say it is..staying home makes it worse, not better.

You don't know jackshit about American politics.

I have talked to scores of politicians in my life time. The only time one of the sonofabitches really listened is when I represented a militi billion dollar corporation that had contributed a significant amount of campaign money.

Just shut the fuck up about American politics because you don't know 1/10th what you think you know. You need to spend more time worrying about that Socialist government of yours and less time worrying about a foreign country.

Actually I know more than you give me credit for.

I have talked to scores of politicians in my life time. The only time one of the sonofabitches really listened is when I represented a militi billion dollar corporation that had contributed a significant amount of campaign money.
That's odd, because last night I listened to a meeting between a member of congress and half a dozen of his constituents. They happen all the time.

Just shut the fuck up about American politics because you don't know 1/10th what you think you know.
What has gotten into you? Seriously? Where is all this rage and abuse coming from?

You need to spend more time worrying about that Socialist government of yours and less time worrying about a foreign country.
I'll post where, and when, and on what topics I choose. Show me in CU rules where it says otherwise.

    Are these new CU rules?

    1. You have to be a US citizen to post here: change that and Hamps and Bijou leave..either that or can this "foreigner" crap out here and now.

    2. You have to serve or have served in the military: that wipes out pretty much more than 50 % of this board and a huge slew of new members. Ready to kick Snaps out? Shannon? Lurk?

Are these new CU rules? And if they are not and these standards do NOT apply on others..then this is an attack on me personally.

So, why, Gator.? What the FUCK is your problem?

(Oh and incidentally everyone, Gator is well aware of why I was never in the military..I told him myself. So this abuse is not only undeserved, it is unjustifiable as he has been given specific personal information. He has been told more than once. Calling someone a coward for not serving when you are well aware of why they were not able to? Now thats cowardice)
