Hopeful? You wish. If we were merely hopeful we wouldn't be quite so vengeful and angsty. We are going to retake the republican party, and get it back on the track of smaller government and less spending. It will happen in your lifetime, unless you're ridiculously old or something. So, you just sit back and feel all sorts of full of yourself when you call 'us' cute. We're coming to unseat those self-professed RINOs you support, and we are bringing it pretty hard. You'll live to see this entire sham of a political party, filled with ex-socialists, fall on it's face. Maybe you should read more than the headlines, maybe you should see how much money the CfL PAC provides to some small local election in the name of a 'Ron Paul Conservative'. These neocons in local elections are raising 3 maybe 5 thousand dollars. The CfL PAC counters that with 11 to 15 thousand. It's no wonder why are winning primary after primary, and soon race after race.
By all means, remain amused along with whatever it is you are thinking.
Never is the lack of judgement of Ron Paul supporters so obvious as when you visit a Ron Paul fansite. Out of the many houndred pictures of Ron Paul, including ones where he actually looks presidential, they always go with this one -- the one where he looks like a loony circus director. Honestly, this is the picture that they've plastered up on all major fansites -- including the former official election site, as well as the current official "Rally for the Republic" site.
How on earth can they believe that this picture will invoke respect?
I can't help the troofers. I think you all know how I feel about that nonsense. I've owned a troofer or two on this very site. However, since the shift in priorities has focused on local politics (i.e. rebuilding from the ground up) , the troofers have taken a hike. Guess real life was just too much for them.
Just keep telling yourself it was the "Troofers" that made Paul and Libertarians in general look like circus geeks.
I'm sure that helps.
I don't think Paul would make a particularly good president but I voted for him in the Florida Primaries.
I voted for him mostly as a protest vote against the Republican big government candidates.
Paul doesn't have it right on everything but at least knows the problems, which is more than you can say about anybody else nowadays
