WASHINGTON — The Justice Department says an Arizona sheriff known for his efforts against illegal immigrants has refused to cooperate with a civil rights investigation and the department is threatening to sue.

So basically the Justice Dept. is going after a law enforcement officer for enforcing the law. Go figure.The Obama Administration: Deny. Deflect. Blame.

Mm..if he has been subpoenaed he really has little choice. Other than that, the issue I see is the claims of illegal search and seizure. The law applies to him as well as others does it not?
On illegal immigration I agree with Arpaio (try not to faint)..but he doesnt have the right to break the law he swore to uphold either. Has he abused his power?

Still, it's funny that in order to figure out if he'd broken the law, we have to read news articles to find what isn't there. It's sort of like reading Pravda or Isvestia, back when there was a USSR, only this time, we're the Samizdat.

i do find it funny that a aussie is so bent out of shape by my sheriff.
