According to a report that was published on Thursday in the German magazine Der Spiegel, German experts have confirmed the authenticity of photographs that show that PKK fighters in Turkey were killed by chemical weapons.

The photographs in question were given in March by activists to a German human rights delegation, comprised of experts, journalists and politicians from Turkey’s Left Party. The photos feature burned, maimed and scorched body parts, so much so that he victims are scarcely even recognizable as human beings. Hans Baumann, a German expert on photo forgeries has confirmed the authenticity of the photos, which according to Turkish-Kurdish human rights activists show eight members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) underground movement. They are believed to have been killed in September 2009.

A forensics report released by the Hamburg University Hospital has said that it is highly probable that the eight Kurds died "due to the use of chemical substances."

Turkey has long been suspected of using chemical weapons against Kurdish rebels, and the evidence puts increasing pressure on the Turkish government to come up with answers. German politicians and human rights experts are now demanding an investigation into the incident.

Claudia Roth, co-chair of Germany's Green Party, told Der Spiegel: "The latest findings are so spectacular that the Turkish side urgently needs to explain things. It is impossible to understand why an autopsy of the PKK fighters was ordered but the results kept under seal."

This is the country that massacred Greek and Armenian Christians by the hundreds of thousands and then hid and denied it happening. Do you doubt that they would use chemical weapons?

And we're a country who purposely spread communicable diseases to populations we know had no immunities to them, so it would save us the trouble of forcibly removing them from their homelands.

That took place not even half a century before the time frame you referenced.

Lets get some hard evidence before we start pointing fingers on a claim as serious as this.

I don't work in chemical readiness, but I've had enough NBC training to know that certain NBC's leave tell tale signs and symptoms. I'd think that whoever these experts were would be able to pinpoint the substance a bit more then this.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

If you're going to make the claim about small pox blankets - it's a lie.

America may not have used the 'small pox blanket' against the North American Indians but there is some evidence that the British attempted this during the French and Indian War.

Our old buddy Ward Churchhill has to claimed that America attempted something like this, but his research has been proven to be faulty at best and possibly completely and knowingly fabricated.

Would it be a valid conclusion that the German army were guilty of mass executions if a bunch of Aghan civilians were found summarily executed in a German area of control in Afghanistan? After all they were responsible for 12 million civilian deaths in WWII. Do you doubt they would execute civillians?
