    2. I can't stand when she pretends there isn't a case against
the most impeachable (based on administration actions) President in history.

    13. Sadly
I don't think she's pretending. I think she really believes that he hasn't done anything legally wrong.

    8. The dissembling continues.
Congress is the sole interpreter of what high crimes and misdemeanors are, as the Republicans so aptly showed 10 years ago. So what she is really saying is that she is unwilling to call any of the Bushites' actions high crimes and misdemeanors, she thinks they are all OK.

    9. I wish someone had told that to Gingrich and Henry Hyde!
Realistically, I suppose they can't *convict* Bush and Cheney with only 50 Dems in the Senate. Pity!
Thanks to SarasotaRepub for your help! :D

    Hey DU:

    Obama: Impeachment is not acceptable

WASHINGTON (AP) Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama laid out list of political shortcomings he sees in the Bush administration but said he opposes impeachment for either President George W. Bush or Vice President Dick Cheney.
The great black hope feels the same way.

Could a DUmmy please stop over and detail the crimes that the Bush Administration have committed that warrants impeachment?

I won't be holding my breath.

For once I agree with a DUmmie. If Pres. Bush has murdered someone while in office, I too, believe he should be impeached.

Cop out. C’mon Tom just list one or two. Oh, but please back it with facts or evidence. RawStory and AfterDowningStreet are not sufficient proof, btw.

If Pres. Bush had personally committed or personally ordered the torture of a citizen of the U.S. you might be onto something, but interrogating terrorists, good luck with that one.

Which Amendments have been reversed. I must’ve missed that. And doesn’t it take like 66% or 75% of Congress plus 2/3rds of the states to change the Constitution. No wonder Congress’ approval rating is only 9%. Rewriting the Constitution and all.

She might also have added that impeaching a President less than 90 days before a Presidential election is just plain stupid.

    Obama: Impeachment is not acceptable
    Updated 7/2/2007 3:58 PM

WASHINGTON (AP) Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama laid out list of political shortcomings he sees in the Bush administration but said he opposes impeachment for either President George W. Bush or Vice President Dick Cheney.

Obama said he would not back such a move, although he has been distressed by the "loose ethical standards, the secrecy and incompetence" of a "variety of characters" in the administration.

"There's a way to bring an end to those practices, you know: vote the bums out," the presidential candidate said, without naming Bush or Cheney. "That's how our system is designed."

The term for Bush and Cheney ends on Jan. 20, 2009. Bush cannot constitutionally run for a third term, and Cheney has said he will not run to succeed Bush.
So why is Obama given a free pass while Pelosi is vilified?
