Sugared Ginger

Has any one ever tried dried sugared ginger root? This stuff is great, almost addictive. I'm sure it would be real good for people trying to stop smoking!

They have it at health food stores, some oriental food markets and i just bought 11 pounds from Bulk foods on the interwebs.

A friend gave me a box of it he had bought in a Chinese market. I found that it was too sweet to eat like candy but I did use it in BBQ sauces and stirfries. It was excellent.

I can mow through a pound in about a week, it varies as to sweetness depending on the supplier.
