Cat Fish Stew

Boneless Cat Fish Filets
Sliced White Potatos
Sliced Onions

Water
Salt and Pepper

Layer cat fish, potatos and onions in your pot.
Salt and pepper each layer
Cover with water

Cook till potatos are done....

Make as much or as little as you want or need....

Great with Hush puppies....

That sounds delish. I have some alaskan pollack in my freezer I need to use up and this sounds like a new way to do it.

I bought about 20 lbs of it at 1.49 lb. It made very good fish and chips, but I am just tried of the greasy stuff.

I bet it would if you did the potatoes and onions first and then added the catfish at the end - say for under an hour.

I just looked at some crock pot fish stew/soup recipes and they seem okay with dumping everything in all at once (except shrimp). Go for it!

This is really good. Just make sure you are not using "mud cats" if you are making it with fish you caught.

I haven't heart the phrase mud cat in a long time. Used to catch them in the Flint River. They were okay fried if they weren't very large but we usually threw them back if we were catching channel cats.
