I want to sleep in tomorrow so I am cheating. It's technically Monday!

First, I hope all you Florida folks are safe and Fay does little damage.

I am attaching a poll about who you would like to see John McCain chose as a VP candidate.
If I forget someone, please add.

The 21st century. The age of Smart phones and Stupid people.

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Nonsense. I wait until 10 before I remind you.:D Tristan started his first day of middle school this morning. My stomach is in knots. I'm not sure why. There probably won't be any school tomorrow because of the stupid storm.

    TOTD: I wouldn't chose:p any of those.

Today is hurricane prep day. It doesn't look like it will be a significant event but you never know. I suspect we will get lots of rain and some wind but nothing devastating.

They are closing the schools and ordering evacuations of some low lying areas but the NG hasn't been called out and the state hasn't went into full alert mode yet.

The Wall Street Journal says this morning that McCain should take a look at Mark Sanford, the governor of SC. I don't really know about him, does anyone here?

McCain will blow a great opportunity if he doesnít pick Mitt.

    East Coast/West Coast balance.

    Fossil/Young Guy balance.

And even as a Mormon, thatís a Hell of a lot easier to swallow that electing the first black president. You canít give voters too much to think about at one time - they donít do well with an excess of information. And this may be a lesser-of-two-evils decision for many of them.
At Coretta Scott King's funeral in early 2006, Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert Kennedy, leaned over to him and whispered, "The torch is being passed to you." "A chill went up my spine," Obama told an aide. (Newsweek)

I don't know about Mitt. A lot of differences between candidates get patched up after the primaries, but he and McCain plainly despised each other.
