Post your tried and true crock pot soup recipes. ;)
In a round about way I came upon one of these appliances not too long ago. It is merely a space waster at the moment.
Kick. So maybe I can use it.
Dude, welcome to the best kitchen appliance invention of the 20th century. The beauty part is that you can chop up whatever you need to chop up the night before and then dump it all in the crock pot with some stock or broth and some kind of meat-thingy and come home to a complete meal.
Use the non-politically correct disposable liners and you don't even have anything to wash up. ;)
Put some water in there, dump some meat in and a can of mushroom soup, and put cooked egg noodles in an hour before it's done.
Translation: Put a cheap cut of beef (round steak, chuck, etc.) in the pot (you can brown it first or just cheat and rub some Kitchen Bouquet on it). Cut up some potatoes, carrots, celery, and (whatever sturdy veggie you want). Dump 1 can of Golden Mushroom soup on top and add about 2 to 3 cans of water (you want it thicker than too thin). Put some pepper in there but no salt. Set it to "low", put the lid on, and go to work.
If you want noodles, cook 'em separately. ;)
Precisely my dear! You can add a few chopped mushrooms too.:D
I make a kick-ass Moroccan Lamb Shank stew in the crockpot...I'll post the recipe when I have a chance. Been crazy busy lately...

They're wonderful. I have 3 in the kitchen and one in the RV. There's a great book...Fix It and Forget It. Crock Pots are just so wonderfully versatile. Did you know you can bake potatoes in a CrockPot? Just clean the potatoes and place them in the crock pot. NO water nothing. Just pop them in and in about 45 minutes you've got 'baked' potatoes. Sorry to insert myself here but I really enjoy using them.
Right now I have a meaty ham bone and potato soup going in one crock pot and I'm making chicken stock in the other. Technology is good.:)
