I can't see them giving it to Boise over Ohio State, Oregon and the winner of the Big 12.
would be pretty freaking cool if Ohio State and Nebraska were in the National Championship game the year before they become Conferance opponents

That is what makes the discussion interesting.
Ohio State, Oregon, Boise State.
Yes.
But also you could have Oklahoma, Nebraska and maybe TCU (haven't seen their score yet) in the mix.
To me, Ohio State is #1 right now.Hey careful man! There's a beverage here!

don't count out Nebraska.
I think it'll be Boise and Ohio State in the end.Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound - Unknown

And Boise St. will get their ass handed to them. I'm so sick and tired of Boise St. They remind me of the Boston Red Sox. For years they were the lovable losers. Get to the Series and fall short. Crazy things happening to them in the playoffs. Then they have that great comeback against the Yankees, sweep the Cards, and they finally win it. Then they and their fans became the cockiest bastards on the planet. Same with Boise St. They start having a few good seasons, pull off the huge upset over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl then all of a sudden, they're the sexy pick. But look at the big picture. They are frauds. Let's look at their schedule:
(10)Va. Tech-Won by their chinny chin chin 33-30
Wyoming-W 51-6
Oregon St. W 37-24
New Mexico St.-W 56-0
Toledo-W 57-14
These are the games they've played so far. 2 ranked teams and they, the number 4 team in the country, escaped with their lives. Then the other 3 games are the creampuffs on their schedule. Let's look at the rest:
San Jose St.(1-4)-Their first 6 games, they played Alabama(then #1), #11 Wisconsin, #13 Utah, #21 Nevada. They play more ranked teams in the first 6 weeks than Boise St. is playing all season.
Louisiana Tech(2-4)
Hawaii(3-2) Probably their toughest unranked team but they play them at home and Hawaii is hystorically abysmal on the road.
Idaho(3-2) Nothing to be scared of.
Fresno St.(3-1) Not a bad team but not exactly Florida or Miami.
Nevada(21) A ranked team playing above their heads this season.
Utah St.(2-4) They played Oklahoma tough but other than that, they're terrible.
I mean, their schedule is a joke. Yet some think they're a top 3 team. They are like the Jim McMahon/Steve Young BYU teams who were given national championships with weak schedules. The American Left: Where everything is politics and politics is everything.

Ahh, the sweet, sweet tears of the Boise State haters. It really does keep me going because it takes a great football program, built with less than a quarter of the money the rest of the so called "BCS" conferences make, to get their panties in a wad.
Even after the greatest Fiesta Bowl ever, when it came out that Boise State was looking to play games in the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12, WITHOUT a reciprocating game in Boise, and all those big schools where saying no, the haters still don't get it.
Boise State is good and next year when they enter the Mountain West Conference they will get better and with more money.
