I've done that before and it works great.
Ground turkey meatloaf is not bad either..had to make that often for my dad and his low fat diet.

I totally agree with you. Junkie behavior is not reliable and is often violent if a fix is not forthcoming. An 8 year old should never be in a situation like that.
