    If those rifles are Mausers (which they look like, except for the one that looks like an autoloader) then those soldiers are Germans.

    Maybe WW2 vintage?

    The Boots,Uniforms and the Shoulder Harnesses make them German,not American !

    They are Mausers, and those are German soldiers, least WW2 reenact-ors. This Dems' PR group (Approved by him) selected that photo to show his support for American Soldiers and sent it out in a mailer to 10,000 voters in his district.

    I own 3 Mausers, and that it definitively what those are. The auto is an StG 44 sort of the great grandfather to the AK 47.
