AN extremist website that helped inspire Roshonara Choudhry to stab MP Stephen Timms has published a complete list of British politicians who voted for the Iraq war.
It called on Muslims to take up the "knife of jihad" against them.
Choudhry, jailed for life this week, named the website RevolutionMuslim.com as a source of inspiration, together with the teachings of Yemen-based English-speaking radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, a key ideologue for al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula.
Choudhry told police she had watched more than 100 hours of sermons by Awlaki before attacking Mr Timms. She also read The Book of Jihad, recommended by Awlaki.
The US-hosted website eulogised Choudhry yesterday with the words: "We ask Allah to keep her safe and secure, to hasten her release and to reward this heroine immensely. We ask Allah for her action to inspire Muslims to raise the knife of jihad against those who voted for the countless rapes, murders, pillages, and torture of Muslim civilians as a direct consequence of their vote."
The website lists the addresses of Mr Timms's constituency surgeries and a number to book an appointment. The site even links to a British supermarket website that sells kitchen knives.
British authorities are trying to have the site, run from a server in the US, shut down.
The website, which carries a disclaimer denying links to terrorism, was set up by a group of extremists that included Samir Khan, an associate of Awlaki. A Muslim of Saudi origin, he was brought up in North Carolina but left the US and has joined AQAP.
