    Tsa warns: Submit or pay

$11,000 Fine, Arrest Possible for Some who Refuse Airport Scans and Pat Downs

If you don't want to pass through an airport scanner that allows security agents to see an image of your naked body or to undergo the alternative, a thorough manual search, you may have to find another way to travel this holiday season.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning that any would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint and then refuses to undergo the method of inspection designated by TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.

That person will have to remain on the premises to be questioned by the TSA and possibly by local law enforcement. Anyone refusing faces fines up to $11,000 and possible arrest.

    megimoo,
While I wholeheartedly agree with your postings and equally despise the TSA and have commented on a few of your posts, would you consider it out of line if I requested that it just be one post with additional commentary instead of a new post (or 6) every day?

I am not trying to moderate the discussion or anything, but trying to follow and provide input on all the various topics you have posted on this makes it almost impossible.

If you are having difficulty's following my postings pretend that you are reading a newspaper and simply skip over the items that are not of interest and read the others that are .It's not necessary to respond to every post that anyone posts on the board . Most post if read are not even commented on .

Perhaps you should take your complaint to one of the mods.I was of the opinion that the members were free to post topics of their choice as they see fit subject only to the content rules of the various subsections .

I have had several mods request that I post more often to keep the board active during slow times !
Do you feel that my posting is excessive ?If so do you demand that I stop posting more than once a day on any topic ?

As you are a rather new member you may need guidance on interacting with the other members ?

I am active in a business that requires me to have several computers running programs and collecting large data files over the net most of the day waiting for data acquisition to be complete I have some free time to post. Some days more time than others.I rather enjoy the interactive conversations my posts sometime generate and yours is the first telling me to post less often.

I suppose I could sit back and read a book while waiting for a file to complete or take a nap but I chose to read the news and post those parts that interest me.If my postings aggravate you ignore them .

I am sorry that you seem deeply offended. As I stated, it was a request not a complaint. I am not trying or requesting that you limit the quantity of posts in any way, shape or form nor do they aggravate me. If that was the case, I would not have bothered responding as I would not have been concerned enough to care. The fact is, I am incensed by the TSA and their actions and support virtually every post you have made on that topic. I would like to comment more on the some of the threads you started and in those comments speak about specific or groups of similar threads, but I personally find it tedious to respond to multiple same topic posts without sounding redundant.

It has been my experience on boards (and this is not my first one) that multiple new threads on the same topic do not enjoy the readership and response that a single thread does. It is also my experience that once a thread is bumped off the main page, it is usually ancient history.

No matter. I find it easier, more efficient and better for discourse to have 1 coherent discussion than 6 disjointed ones on the same topic.
    You disagree.
No harm, no foul. That is what makes this a great country.

Back on point, where is the ACLU in all of this? I'll tell you where they are, they're ready to pounce once the profiling starts.

I won't hold my breath waiting, although I will say that with some exceptions, the left has been more vocal against the TSA stormtroopers than many on the right.
It is painful to have to agree with the libs and the ACLU on much of anything.

Once in a blue moon the ACLU gets it right but sadly they're basically myrmidons of the left like the NAACP.

You are a great poster and I enjoy your posts but how many times Megimoo or anyone else on this board posts is none of your business.
