    Is DU the enemy?

In terms of the popular threads, I have never seen a lot of calls to action here, any rallying, any activism. I don't see much concentration on long term goals. And now I am seeing a lot of sabotage of the Democrat's chances in 2012, backstabbing Obama, lots of crazy talk like wanting obscure candidates to run, which would just get us a Republican-controlled Congress again if not a major tragedy like Reagan in 1980. DU often (not always for the others) seems like a place for whiners at best, saboteurs at worst, for negativity and for a lot of closet Republicans pretending to be anti-Obama Democrats.

Is DU the enemy? Is it a force for good? Or am I just giving it too much importance, is it in fact a marginal place for people to vent and it shouldn't be taken seriously?

Seems like a trap thread to me. I wonder how many of these DUmmys are going to be TS'd. Keep an eye on this one:

Skinners answer is quite telling that its all about the cash for him now. He clearly would rather have members at this point than a place for dems to suport dems.
