I remember well the night Truman broke into Monday Night Football and announced that Germany had bombed Peal Harbor.Subdivisions (1000+ posts) Thu Dec-09-10 12:34 AM

More observance of John Lennon here than of Pearl Harbor yesterday.

Don't get me wrong. I have always been and will always be a John Lennon fan. But it seems as if hardly anyone cares anymore about what happened that terrible day, a day Truman said would live in infamy. 2,402 personnel were killed and 1,282 were wounded that day. And it was the day that drew us into WWII. Yet it seems to have been forgotten. Imagine...that.
Did we quit then? Hell no!
Smartest guy in the room, he even has the bigfor DUmmie in his post.
