Today is the 25th anniversary of the Gander crash. My son and I just returned from the memorial service on Fort Campbell, Kentucky. It was a good service and the Soldiers that served on the Honor Guard did a fantastic job. God Bless the peace keepers.

This picture is from 1985 when we brought our fallen home.

    This is from today's service.

Thanks for sharing and for going to the memorial services.
They will never be forgotten. A national tragedy we must remember for sure.

Thank you Kay, this is a particularly difficult time for me. This was my unit and I traded seats with SSG Kirby so he could be home with his family for Christmas. It's kinda hard to deal with sometimes.

Oh man, Big Guy. I can see how that would make this a very personal tragedy and hard memory for you. You have to just know that everyone was exactly where God intended them to be on that day, including you.
