DeLay: 'Unless Obama Proves Me Wrong, He Is a Marxist'
@ 5:24 pm by Andy Barr

Former House Republican Leader Tom DeLay (Texas) called Barack Obama a "Marxist" on the Mike Gallagher radio show Thursday. Explaining that Obama clinching the Democratic nomination is a good thing for John McCain, DeLay said Obama's "weakness" is that "nobody knows him."

"And if McCain does not define him as what he is ó hey, I have said publicly, and I will again, that unless he proves me wrong, he is a Marxist," DeLay said.

The radio host agreed with DeLay, who is facing money laundering charges, saying Obama is "desperately trying to cover up what seems to be the kind of old school Marxist radical liberal failed ideology."

"Absolutely," DeLay said. "No doubt about it."

I don't support Obama's positions (at least the ones I've even heard), so I don't intend to vote for him. I don't give a gnat's ass what Tom DeLay thinks of anybody.

    Wow, truth hurts.

I still cant fathom why people want to vote for such a socialist turd.

Do people want to be taxed into oblivion?

Exactly. Obama's plans for the capital gains tax ALONE are enough to keep me from voting for him.

Meh. Doesnít carry any more weight than Odysseus calling me one - an FAA Repair Station owner, with 12 employees - fully insured and with a company pension plan. Just another fart in the wind.

At Coretta Scott King's funeral in early 2006, Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert Kennedy, leaned over to him and whispered, "The torch is being passed to you." "A chill went up my spine," Obama told an aide. (Newsweek)

I thought he wanted to tax it at ordinary income? Maybe it was just 28% across the board.

I remember when he was first asked about capital gains taxes, and he had no idea about the issue, and just spouted off some number. Who knows what his real policy is on it.

Correct, his advisors are backing off the 28% figure but it is definitely going up along with income taxes, removing the W.H. cap on wages and gasoline taxes. If he became Prez , the captial gain on your residence which is exempt up to a half mil. for a couple and a quarter mil. for a single might be tinkered with also.

Delay has got it right. Obama plans to add and increase social programs. Kinda like a combo of the New Deal & Great Society that would turn us into a marxist society along with turning sovereignty over to the UN.
