The stupid part of it is, is that cuts in capital gains taxes ESPECIALLY lead to more revenues for the govt. Obama was questioned on this earlier and his answer was to demonize hedge fund managers - as if that has ANYTHING to do with the wisdom of the policy.

Add Warner Lieberman and the US economy is on a third world level before the 2010 off year elections.

Tax code wise, expect the Clinton tax code and more.........private health insurance?, your benefits taxed as ancillary income. Provided for your retirement?, means testing on your Social Security.

Given the Government's inability to manage the Social Security Trust fund or manage Medicare in a prudent fashion, why even think of giving the government any more irresponsibilities?

I get bent out of shape when I file my Fed income tax return and have to pay taxes on 85% of my social security benefits.

Tom Delay represented the neighboring 22 District here in Texas, I lay the earmark and K Street problem directly at his feet. He chose to use the power of the purse to rule rather than the Reagan philosophy of conservative ideas and limited government. That being said, we have a narrow opportunity to defeat Osama, Obama, and Chelsea's momma. If we don't, The United States of America will cease to exist as we know and love it.
