It's been a crazy past few years. We've seen gas prices hit all-time highs, been hit by major and catastrophic weather disasters, and watched as banks and major financial institutions disappear overnight in the midst of what appears to be an actual, real-life economic depression. Our stable, comfortable lives suddenly don't seem so stable any more.
Here are 10 things you can do to improve your chances of riding out a major disaster without looking like a total lunatic. If you get all 10 of these items checked off, let me know so I can come crash at your place when aliens attack. (Text: Shea Gunther)

12-21-2010, 04:43 PM"In England a king hath little more to do than to make war and give away places; which in plain terms, is to impoverish the nation and set it together by the ears. A pretty business indeed for a man to be allowed eight hundred thousand sterling a year for, and worshipped into the bargain! Get yourself a good knife ( and a back up knife; learned that one from Robert Heinleigh ), a Bug Out Bag, a good rifle ( a .22 is good because you can carry as much as 500 rounds) a bicycle ( better then walking). map & compass, first aid kit , water filter & two canteens, a good melee weapon, three to five days of emergency rations and supply catches along your route.
Be extra careful about the people who called you a nut for trying to be prepared, they'll be the first ones at your door demanding that you take care of them ( food, water shelter and protection) and they'll be the first also to gather a mob and try to take your stuff by force. And they're most likely to be a Moonbat too.CU's Paranormal Expert.

I recommend marinating and seasoning to mask the fetid stench of liberal carcass. You might try ranching all the effeminate libertards in your communittee. They're as DUmb as sheep but bleat much louder.Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.
C. S. Lewis
Do not ever say that the desire to "do good" by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives. (Are you listening Barry)?
