Had our fantasy football draft on saturday and needed to cook for a crowd, but our weather has not been great for outdoor cooking. Rain.

Slow cooker was the way to go.

2 boston butts about 4.5 lbs each
Marinate with Stubbs pork marinade overnte

2 oven stuffer chckens about 6-7 lbs each
marinate with Stubbs chicken marinade overnite

Friday nite about 11:00 pm put all the cookers on lowand let cook over nite.

The pork was fall apart heaven, the chicken a touch dry,b ut the bbq sauce took care of that.

We made some yellow rice and black beans with it.

    getting started

    cooked, pulled and being served

    serve with beer!

    your choice of sauce

I borrowed 2 of them from a friend, flea market would be my guess on finding them. Heres the other.
They were a little harder to control the heat.

That size is so useful. I can't see buying something like that at a flea market, though. As my mother said about so many things, "You don't know where it's been." :)

Yes, I just like to have my OWN equipment. That's not so unusual.

    Not at all.

But if you want a classic, you have to make compromises, especially when no-one makes it anymore.

I should know... I just paid $46k for a classic that no-one makes anymore.

I won't eat from it ... and I won't eat in it, either. It's that much of a classic, to me.
