    I just broke down! I can't believe that our Democratic Nominee is Barack Obama! I am so damn Proud!
    Really, I just fell into tears. I never thought this day would come.

    All of the sudden, I was overtaken by this sweep of deep joy.

    I am so overjoyed and energized, I don't what to do with myself!
    So I just gave Obama/Biden another donation.

    OK.......I'm going to take a deep breath and get back to work, while I watch the convention
    on C-Span.

    But I'll tell you, I'm Fired up and Ready to Go! BooyAe!
    Wait, she's watching the convention while at work. Someone's not going to get their their fries or shake or something.

    She works as an "activist" which means she spends all day blathering. Thank God no one is really depending on her for anything real.

    My hubby just called me. He said that Palin is Vitriolic and vicious...
    and that her putting community activism down is going to come back and bite her in the ass.

    He believes that the media is going to take her down bit by bit.

    My husband is a Minister. That's part of what they do.
    This is bigger than presidential politics. This is a battle for America.

    Hubby was a deacon last time I checked. Maybe he is now a minister. She claimed on her blog to be associated with this church: http://www.allen-temple.org/

    In some churches, a deacon is an ordained 'minister' who does work in the church or community, often among the poor or sick. Must be Anglican if he has a wife. Must be Episcopalian if his wife is Frenchie Cat.:D
    Hey careful man! There's a beverage here!

    It's an African American church.

    In obedience to the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20, given to us by the Founder of the church, Allen Temple Baptist Church seeks excellence in the ministry of Jesus by

    Evangelizing all persons to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour;

    Educating all Christians to grow into the moral and spiritual likeness of Jesus Christ through the aid of the Holy Spirit;

    Enlisting all Allen Temple members in personally extending the
    message and mission of God's love in Christ, throughout the world;

    Allen Temple Baptist Church was organized in 1919 and has a rich heritage of making a positive difference in the lives of people in East Oakland, the Bay Area and around the world. Under the anointed leadership of Dr. J. Alfred Smith Sr., Allen Temple Baptist Church has grown from a membership of 500 to over 5,000, maintaining a trained and dedicated staff of ordained and lay ministry Christians.

    One who visits Allen Temple will find membership open to all who will accept Christ as Savior and Lord.
