"Tons Of Dead Fish Wash Ashore In Brazil"

Fishermen have found at least 100 tonnes, mainly sardines. A survey conducted by the Federation of Fishermen's Colony of Paraná, Paranaguá on the coast of the state, indicates that at least 100 tons of fish (sardine, croaker and catfish) have turned up dead since last Thursday off the coast of Parana.

On Sunday, representatives from the Environmental Institute of Paraná (IAP), the Secretary of State for the Environment and Water Resources (SEMA), took samples to verify the reason for the deaths.

O relatório será divulgado hoje. The report will be released today. The president of the Federation of Fishermen's Colony..

Supposedly those picking up the birds and fish wore hazmat suits, gas masks, the whole deal. Sorta makes you wonder what happened to the honeybees a couple years ago.

The bees simply left because of changes in bee keeping practices, they were removing all the honey instead of leaving them enough for food, they left them corn syrup to replace the honey. The bees moved into trees and peoples walls.
I buy my honey from an old style producer who is enjoying the higher prices caused by the idiot producers.

well that's good to know. And makes perfect sense.

IF however, the cause of death for these birds and fish is government testing then what a great way to rid ourselves of pockets of baby boomer senior citizens. I'm thinking florida, palm springs, sun city.

Also some of the bees succumbed to disease which many also be attributed to the corn syrup which has none of the antibodies associated with natural honey.

Maybe but wildlife really isn't a good vector for senior citizens since so few of them would come into contact with an infected animal. Stuff does happen to wildlife. When West Nile swept through Colorado, almost all the crows and their close cousins dropped dead. People were wringing their hands over a crow-less future. Three years later all the survivor crows had been "busy" and we're back to normal crow-wise.

Periodically, Coors kills off most of the fish in Clear Creek and a year later they are all back. ;)
