Arizona law allows any U.S. citizen 21 or older to carry a concealed weapon without a permit.
“The kind of gun laws we have here in California that give people their gun ownership rights while also preventing the sale of guns to criminals, to people with serious mental illness and people who may abuse a spouse or partner,” said the California Democrat at a press conference in Riverside.

that give people their gun ownership rights"In England a king hath little more to do than to make war and give away places; which in plain terms, is to impoverish the nation and set it together by the ears. A pretty business indeed for a man to be allowed eight hundred thousand sterling a year for, and worshipped into the bargain! Of more worth is one honest man to society and in the sight of God, than all the crowned ruffians that ever lived."

Gun control isn't going to work.
I am all for ways to keep guns out of the hands of crazy people like the Tuscon shooter. I think that can be done without taking guns away from the sane and law abiding. When the school expelled him and the Sheriff's office was notified about some of his behavior, something should have been done, like an involuntary commitment. The Baker act gives the courts the ability to hospitalize someone if he or she presents a risk to himself or others, but someone (police or family) still has to initiate the proceedings.
