All of us have photos that look like nothing special but have deep meaning for us due to the story behind them or when they were taken. This pic is precious to me because it is the last pic ever taken of my dad. He died four days after this photo was taken. In the pic are my grandson, Izzy. My Dad and my grandaughter Jimmi.

I am also sorry for your loss.

I just have to say this, though-your grandchildren are adorable.

they are. and the eyes and hair on the little girl are gorgeous. I hesitated posting here. It's not that people don't empathize with your loss. It's difficult to know what to say. You know what was the hardest for me to deal with once both parents were gone?? That it made me MORE aware of my own mortality and especially that my brothers, husband and i are the oldest in the family. sorry for your loss. changes the world when you lose your parent(s).

While I appreciate the condolences, apparently I was a little vague with the topic. I wanted to have you folks post photos that were meaningful for you or had a special significance.

Let me post another example. This one of a more happy occassion. This pic of Deeanna is very meaningful to me because we had gone out to eat together at Fuddruckers. She called me "Dad" for the first time and has not called me "Nato" or "Dude" since.
