It's really rather simple, although, as you said, you are more than a little dumb. Simply put, when enough Muslims gather in one place, they demand that Islam be held supreme over all other religions. When they don't get their way, they riot. If you find that confusing, just ask a Danish cartoonist or a Dutch film maker how they are treated when they criticize Islam. Actually, just ask the Danish cartoonist, as the Dutch film maker was murdered.

One of the first things I thought of when this was first being reported, was all the ancient
treasures in Egypt. If the muslims take over and end up in power, I hope they do don't
like they did in Afghanistan when they blew up the giant Budas. That was a horrific crime.
Just imagine what all the world could lose in Egyptian historical artifacts. :(

I love how the left and the media - as if there is any difference - are trying to paint this as being a pro-democracy movement. bullshit. If anyone knows anything about the muslim brotherhood they know that these people find democracy to be abhorrent and contrary to islam. These people want two things - sharia law and war with Israel - two things the current regime have openly stood against. Only a damn fool and a big damn fool is stoopid enough to think for a second that these protests have anything what ever to do with a pro-democracy movement.
