Scientists believe men once had small spines on their genitalia such as those found in chimpanzees, cats and mice.

Analysis of the genomes of humans, chimpanzees and macaques indicates that a DNA sequence thought to play a role in the production of these spines have been deleted in humans, but has been preserved in other primates. ...

Actually it's a penetration aid .Monkeys and apes in general have one.The female of most species of ape will fight the male when they exude the smell of coming into 'heat' .The female has a small flap over their genetilia to avoid male penetration ,the penile spine stiffens the penis and pushes this flap aside .......aren't you glad that you now know all of this needless crap ?
